Today one of my kids was asked to research online about this fairly obscure topic 404 and to write a 14 page report about it that includes at least 3 offline resources and 4 online resources. Then they are to interview by phone at least 10 people and get their opinions about this subject via a 5 question survey. But probably what surprised me most is they are to publish their survey results online either on one of the major online survey services or on their class blog! Times sure have changed! …

January 7, 2009 on 6:15 am | In Uncategorized | Comments OffWould it not be a nice thing to have a chip you can just put in your head and instantly gain knowledge right away on a topic like you knew it intimately. Well, if that would be so, they would need to make a special chip for me that would allow me to type in the one word or phrase I want and instantly KNOW the content of the entire search for every single search engine, like the searches I have been doing lately on 404 . Yeah, if I would just immediately within an instant know what was on all the sites with that info on it, that would be flippin cool!

Some of my old friends I no longer speak to would have never guessed that I would embrace technology like I have. And that I would even go out and venture out of my level of comfort to find 404 . Simply amazing!
