Wow, what a game! My girl’s basketball team played their hometown rivals this weekend. And to make it even more interesting, the game was to determine who moved on the league championship game. The game didn’t start well as the girls were SO nervous. We were losing at halftime 6-9. But the girls finally relaxed in the third quarter and made a come-back. The teams were tied at the end of regulation so we went to the first overtime. Then, a second overtime. And a third overtime. And finally, a fourth overtime! Our team pulled it out in the end and now, we’re playing for the championship. I got this email the other day that had a bunch of pictures of famous movie stars, singers like Madonna and Barbara Streisand — but basically, very well known people. You’re having a laugh about …

I am without words. Someone broke into my house and stole my coin and rare stamp collection. You can be sure that I stowed them away underneath my bed and I thought it was not a very obvious place, but I guess I could have stowed them away some even more safe like a safe. Anyways, it is now water under the bridge, but I look back upon all those times as a kid when I mowed the grass, saved up my money and went to the coin shop to purchase all the coins I collected. All that hard work for nothing, and now the stuff is in the hands of someone else. Another day at my grandmother. My father is still in the country and we are having a lot of fun! I feel really bad for my friend, S. We’ve got a mutual friend L that we’ve both known for at least seven years. My father is an excellent photographer. Runs in the family. My sister and brother have taken excellent photo which have been shown in galleries. But my father is lousy with a video camera. This has been his trait since day one of getting his hands on a video camera. And over the years he has shown zero improvement. Just yesterday he showed the family the video he took when he took a river boat tour in one of the state parks. Just as day one when he opened the box of his first video camera, there were many unfocused scenes, many dizzying blurry quick pans, many shots of the ground, and occasional views of the actual scene in focus, but those were only momentary, jittery and choppy. I don’t know what it is about video cameras and my father, but he seems unable to stay focused on the scene. Kind of reminds me of how off some of my search engine searches are for anything at all, say like the other day when I looked for 301 . The results that came were haphazard, and way out of focus from what I needed or even related to the subject. This seems to be more and more of a problem lately; it is as if websites have some kind of technology to deliver the subject you are looking for, and lure you to their sites, and then you find nothing at all related to what you are looking for. I have caught some of the major online stores doing this sort of thing. I think they call that bait and switch.
